The ramblings of Tim

I've slimmed down the pages on this site now so they should be able to fit on those puny 15" screens a little easier! Still working on the gallery and working out a few things, like comments and so on, it'll be up soon!

Until then have a peek at my current self-imposed task! Yep, the topsquad site was in existence for barely two months before I got bored and decided to set about renovating it.

Although it was probably for the best as until now it's only worked on a few monitors and versions of I.E. Plus it was kinda dull and not-quite-sure of itself so at least now its colourful and tonka-toy-ish.

If there's one thing about me that's a blessing and a curse (and I'm only picking one here!), it's that I'm a tinkerer. I love to make something and then rip it apart and tinker with what I had previously declared perfect.

In this vein then, I've already started to re-jig the gallery into something which can be navigated easily. The downside is that I can't work out a way to keep comments and so on on there, but that's probably for the best really!

Went to see Iron Man last night! It was sooo good! Definitely the best Marvel film that's been done and it was nice to see a film that wasn't all starry-eyed about the hero. There were a couple of cheesy bits in it, like the end fight which was pretty predictable but, in all, it was really good fun. So, yeah, I recommend it! :o)

There's been a real theme lately of revival that is going to spread across the nation. The other week a few of us were at Amanda's house and we decided to have a time of prayer and worship, completely off the cuff.

It was while we were praying that I got a real sense that we should not be chasing structures or methods or relying on our own wisdom to spread the Gospel, but we should learn to trust in God and pray, yes that's right pray, for Him to come in power and reveal Himself.

The next day we heard from James in China who told us about a revival that is going on in California. Turns out there was a guys from Jersey (in the Channel Islands) who was there and got prayed for. In turn the whole room started to pray for Jersey and Guernsey.

So, onto this morning, we started our service like normal; kinda dull. But when Jon came up to give the notices and shared about this thing going on in California, I dunno, it was kinda like faith and expectation was rising then and there.

Unfortunately I went out with the Kid's work at that point and missed the preach but when I got back it was like all heaven was breaking loose. People were on the floor, the Spirit of God was manifest in a big way, there were words and prophecies going on and the level of faith was amazing.

Then, when the service came to an end Jon got up and shared a prophecy from a few years ago that we would see revival in these islands; but mainly amongst the children and youth. Now, as a Kid's worker, that really got me excited! Lets pray that this morning wasn't a one off and that we will continue to seek God!
